Lesedi has over the past fifteen years gained a vast experience in construction, mining & mining services and supplies, and telecommunications and IT industries. In 2002, Lesedi and other partners established Lesedi Drilling and Mining Contracting Company (Pty) Ltd, a company that offers underground core drilling services to the mines. Two years later, Partners Drilling (Pty) was established to focus on surface exploration drilling. The company has a fleet of 22 drill rigs, deployed across the country.

In December 2003 Lesedi concluded a deal with a subsidiary of Spescom Global (Ltd), which until recently was listed on the JSE and NASDAQ, where he acquired 40% of Spescom Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd through Puisano Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd.
